1. Who we are
Quizlo is an AI homework-solving app developed and operated as an independent app. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at support@kraus.studio.
2. What data we collect
We collect the minimum possible:
- No account or registration required. Quizlo works without you creating an account or providing any personal information.
- Questions you submit. When you snap a photo or type a question, the content is sent to our backend API to generate a step-by-step solution. This data is not persistently stored on our servers after your request is fulfilled.
- No location data. Quizlo does not request or use your location.
- No third-party analytics. We do not embed analytics SDKs (e.g., Firebase, Mixpanel, or similar).
3. Camera & photo library permission
Quizlo requests access to your camera and photo library solely to let you snap photos of homework questions. Images are transmitted to our secure backend for AI processing and are not stored permanently. You may deny camera access and use the text-entry feature instead.
4. How we use your data
The questions and images you submit are used exclusively to generate your solution. We do not use your submissions to train AI models, build user profiles, or share data with third parties.
5. Subscriptions & payments
Quizlo offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions (Quizlo Pro) through Apple's App Store via StoreKit. All billing and payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We never see, store, or process your payment details. Your subscription status is verified locally through Apple's StoreKit framework.
For billing questions or cancellations, manage your subscription in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
6. Local storage
Your snaps (questions and solutions) are stored locally on your device only, in the app's private Application Support directory. We do not sync this data to our servers. Deleting the app removes all locally stored data.
7. Third-party services
Quizlo uses a server-side proxy to communicate with AI APIs. Your API requests pass through this proxy — no API key is embedded in the app. The proxy does not log or retain the content of requests beyond the duration of the request. The only other third-party interaction is with Apple's App Store for subscription management, governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
8. Children's privacy
Quizlo is intended for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted information through our app, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
9. Data retention
We do not persistently store your questions or solutions on our servers. All app data lives on your device. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under GDPR, CCPA, or similar regulations. Since we collect no personal data and store nothing on our servers, these rights are largely automatically satisfied. Contact us at any time and we will respond promptly.
11. Security
All communication between the app and our backend is encrypted via HTTPS. Our backend proxy is designed so that API keys never leave the server environment. All locally stored data is protected by iOS's built-in security model.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change our data practices, we will update this page and revise the effective date. Material changes will be communicated via an in-app notice. Continued use of Quizlo after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
